BlockGate

BlockGate uses Accessibility permission. Google Play Protect often flags any APK installed from outside the Play Store that asks for this permission, so it may stop the install. The app is safe. Play Protect is just being cautious. Step 1: Turn off Play Protect for now Open the Play Store app. Tap your profile icon (top right), then Play Protect. Tap the ⚙️ Settings icon (top right). Turn OFF "Scan apps with Play Protect". Step 2: Install the APK Open the downloaded BlockGate.apk. If you're asked, allow "Install unknown apps" for your browser or file manager. Tap Install. (If a "Blocked by Play Protect" popup still shows, tap More details and then Install anyway.) Step 3: Allow restricted settings (Android 13 and newer) If the Accessibility toggle is greyed out or says "Restricted setting": Go to Settings → Apps → BlockGate. Tap the ⋮ menu (top right), then Allow restricted settings. Go back and turn on Accessibility for BlockGate. Step 4: Turn Play Protect back on (optional) Once BlockGate is installed and set up, you can turn Play Protect back on.
